- pour les adjectifs longs = more + adj. +than
- pour les adjectifs courts = ajouter -er + than

*adj. longs (2 syllabes) en y  = ils perdent leur -y pur un -i
                        ------> (funny = funnier, prettty = prettier)

* adj. courts (cons. + voy. + cons) doublent leur dernière consonne =
                       --------> big = bigger, thin = thinner

comparatifs irréguliers =
good = better (the best = superlatif)
bad  = worse (the worst = supperlatif)
far = farther ou further, (the farthest ou the furthest= superlatif)
